About us

Estudia-España helps you find and book Spanish courses at hand-picked language schools in Spain and Latin America – with honest, personal advice and often a better price than booking directly with the school.

How it all started

Our story began in the early 1990s, when co-founder Mike Hughes took a three-week Spanish course in Granada. It sparked a passion not only for the language but for the people, history and traditions of Spain and Latin America – and the wish to help others have the same experience.

Today we have more than 15 years of experience in arranging language stays. We believe learning Spanish is about more than vocabulary: it is about living the language, every day, in the place where it is spoken.

What we do for you

• Hand-picked schools. We work closely with accredited language schools and know the schools, the cities and the accommodation from first-hand experience.
• Better prices. We pass on part of our commission as a discount on nearly every course, and if you find the same course cheaper, we match the price (conditions).
• No risk. Sending a booking request is free and non-binding. You pay nothing until the school has confirmed your place.
• Personal advice. In English – before, during and after your stay.

Courses for every goal

Intensive courses, exam preparation, Spanish for work, courses for the over-50s, summer camps for young learners, internships or Bildungsurlaub (educational leave) for employees in Germany: our partner schools offer the right course for your goals and your level. Browse the course types or start with the destinations, from Madrid and Barcelona to Granada, Seville and beyond.

Who we are

Estudia-España is run by Peter und Michael Hughes Sprachdienste GbR in Leipzig, Germany. We arrange courses and accommodation on behalf of our partner schools; your contract for the course is with the school (see our terms and conditions and the legal notice).
