How the pathway works

If you want to study a degree in Spain, you usually need a high level of Spanish and a route into the university system. Pathway courses are designed to cover both. Just want to improve your Spanish? See our long-term Spanish courses.

A typical pathway looks like this:

  1. Choose a course and send an enquiry. Tell us the degree you have in mind and when you would like to start. We recommend a route and send a booking request to the school.
  2. Prepare in Spain. You study Spanish and, depending on the course, prepare for the university access exams.
  3. Take the exams or finish the foundation year. The exam dates and format depend on the course. Your school will tell you.
  4. Apply to universities. The school normally gives guidance on the process, including the recognition of your previous qualifications. What the school handles and what you do yourself depends on the course.

Choose your route

Exam preparation for the university access exams (PAU / PCE). Spanish plus preparation for the exams, usually over six or nine months.

University pathway programmes. Combined Spanish and exam preparation, with start dates and lengths that depend on the school. Some are available on request: send us an enquiry for the current price and start dates.

Foundation programmes. Longer programmes that prepare you for a degree through a foundation year.

Use the length selector above to see which courses fit the time you have.

What it costs

The prices on the cards are course fees, with the mandatory fees included. Choose a length and an accommodation above the list to see the total for your trip. Whether exam fees and materials are included depends on the course, so please check the course page or ask us.

It depends on the course. Some pathway courses ask for a minimum level and others do not. Tell us your level and we will check which courses suit you.

Do I need a visa?

It depends on your nationality. EU and EEA citizens do not need a visa. Citizens of other countries normally need a student visa for a course of more than 90 days.
