Instituto Hemingway has been teaching Spanish in Bilbao since 1999. The school has two campuses in the city centre, a few minutes from the Abando and Casco Viejo metro stations, so the old town, the river and the Guggenheim Museum are all within walking distance.

Classes are small and taught by native teachers, and courses start every Monday for all levels, from complete beginner to advanced. You can study in the morning, add afternoon lessons for an intensive week, or book private lessons tailored to your goals. As an official exam centre, the school can also prepare you for the DELE diploma and let you take the exam in Bilbao.

About Instituto Hemingway

Learning continues outside the classroom: almost every day the school organises free activities, from pintxos evenings and guided walks through the Casco Viejo to museum visits, cinema and even a Basque taster class. Course materials are included, and the school offers free help with student visas.
